Insituform

At the interesection of East Central Street and Shrewsbury Street today, I snapped this picture of a trailer truck parked in the left turn lane, facing the wrong way. The guys at the back end of the trailer worked at stuffing a big, fat sleeve of some kind through a huge tube and down under the street.

The scene reminded me of incidental roadside vignettes that popped up throughout the movie, "Repo Man."

When I got home this afternoon, I Googled the word written on the side of the trailer, "Insituform."


It's a big company.

Such a clever name, too. In Situ and Form to make Insituform...
