Notice how the rationale for being armed is centered upon the possibility of being confronted by someone who is armed. The Worcester State College administration, apparently, is one group that the NRA would never have to make their argument to.
They also base their decision on WPD and MSP projected response times being too slow, which is pretty ironic considering that all those city and state services are free for such a non-profit organization.
And the bottom line on all of this is that IF a Virginia State type of situation ever arose at WSC, who would YOU want to arrive first on the scene where YOUR child is going to school? A handful of underpaid security guards with guns, or a squad of fully trained law enforcement professionals who aren't so trigger-happy?
