I took four pictures from Union Station yesterday, and stitched them together for this panorama of the back of the mall. (click on the pic for a larger view)
Believe me, every cab driver in this city wants to see this mall come down and new stuff put in as fast as possible. More activity equals more customers. It's a no-brainer.
What really irks, however, is that as long as the mall remains standing AND empty, I gotta ask why they bothered to kick anybody out in the first place? Can't they rent space in there UNTIL the prospect of demolition becomes a reality?
And frankly, the longer nothing happens, the better the prospects for the mall eventually becoming a national treasure.
