Every once in a while, I'd say Hi to Carl Camp or Bob Jordan when they came in to work at Union Music in the morning. The back door to the store was only a few yards from that back row behind the old bus station.
Lots of work has been done inside the building and outside in the parking lot over the past few weeks.I wonder how long it will be before the "Bus Terminal" sign comes down?
I thought this might've made a nice spot for a drive-thru coffee table book store. Cosmo Kramer was unavailable to run it, however.
Right now, while they're building the new garage behind Union Station, there's only one way into the new Buh-Sport via Temple Street. I'm sure all the bus drivers just love the detour with its narrow, single-lane right-hand turns.
But everything is coming soon. The new garage, the reconfiguration of Washington Square, the new traffic light off the boulevard into the square, and even the new Walgreens on Grafton Street.
They've changed it to "opening soon" now that the new sign is in place. There's one just like it on the corner of Stafford and Heard, too.
Another "coming soon" is the election.
It's hard for me to sleep at night, with all this stuff right around the corner.
