Yes, I'm just a taxi driver. I'm a naive and simple sort of fellow. No real political savvy to speak of at all. That's why I'm impressed by this. I was pretty sure that Mike Perotto had blown it when I read he had publicly voiced that his patience was wearing thin with Young Park. And the more I read about this ongoing media tiff, the more I felt that there was no turning back, that somehow this particular tableau had been painted with its final stroke. But now I see that tomorrow at 4:30 p.m., Mr. Park is coming to town.
I don't expect any earth-shattering news to come out of tomorrow's meeting but, gosh, I really did think that Mike had pissed off Young to the nines, and that it had done some permanent damage.
Does Mike get points for this? You betcha!

Points? Are you saying you agree with Perotto?
Damage, without a doubt.
The City can't afford to "annoy" investors. Yes its all pre-election posturing.
Think. What would you do if you were Park? I'd snub Perotto and after the election only deal with the City Manger. So who looses here and what is lost? The citizens always.
That's why I'm saying, "Gosh!" I really thought Young Park had been pissed to the nines over Perotto's "patience" sound bite...
But now, after falling into the abyss, suddenly we learn that Young Park IS going to come to Mike's little committee meeting! I'm honestly surprised. I thought Perotto had doomed us all to a future of Young Park being fed up with the whole city forever.
And yes, this gets Perotto some points, whether you or I like it or not.
It was still wasn't a bright move on Perotto's part. I liken this to a football player taking a bonehead gamble that ends up working out. Be careful with the ball MIke! Dude is a loose cannon.
