In The Dark

There's still more than a month to go before Daylight Savings time ends (November 4th).

It's still night at 6 a.m.

This shifting of the clocks drives me nuts.

Do you know how difficult it is to see a house number in the dark?

And then, when we do shift the clocks back an hour, any eastbound drives will have that sun in your eyes, all over again.

It's bad enough getting stuck in this backup on Sunderland at Grafton, but having the sun in your eyes while you wait for the light to change doesn't help, either.

And then, after waiting for the lights to cycle, some Left Turn Monkey ends up using up our turn waiting to go inbound on Grafton!

Sheesh!

I waited all that time, only to move up by four cars!

But patience is what it's all about in this business.

Driving all day either turns you into the grouchiest annoyance on earth, or it gives you a whole new perspective on what it means to be patient.

We are, after all, only talking about another minute of waiting.

It does feel like a lot longer, though, doesn't it?
