"Lukes Jeep" Spotting

There's a lot to be said about campaign strategies, different ways to build up name recognition, and the establishment of iconic imagery. The one iconic image in this city that hardly gets any commentary, however, is the Lukes Jeep.

This is certainly one of the more comment-worthy iconic images to be seen around this city during campaign season.

Every day, the Lukes Jeep appears quietly parked in a different spot and in a different part of the city.

Each time I see it, I've been impinged on a subconscious level with the presence of that name.

I've been seeing it just about every day.

I see it, and I wonder, "Who put it there? Did they get a ride somewhere else? Is this Konnie's Jeep?"

I see it and I absent-mindedly read it.

I think, "Lukes..."

It's such an effective campaign strategy that it was only this morning that I realized just how effective it really is, and said to myself, "HEY! I've gotta get a PICTURE of this!"

It is excellent, isn't it? I saw it on Stafford Street yesteday, and on Forest the day before that (I think). I'm pretty sure it's a Lukes family car.
