Seventh Bloglog

I took the day off today, so that I could drive my wife out to Wellesley for a doctor's appointment this morning. While she was at her appointment, I drove back into the center of Wellesley and had a nice breakfast at Loui's, a little storefront breakfast/lunch counter right across the street from the Dunkin' Donuts...

I gotta tell ya, the idea that towns have to make the big corporate chains conform to local ideas about feng shui, form and decorum, and making them deviate from their successfully applied box formats, ...well, it always made me laugh. There is no big sign for the Dunkin' Donuts in the center of Wellesley. Nor are there any public restrooms.

Even the gas stations will tell you that, yes, they do have a restroom, ...but somebody broke the key off in the lock.

Also, I noticed that there is no overnight parking on the streets of Wellesley.

Now I know where Holden got the idea.

Anyway, we had grabbed a copy of today's WoMag and I discovered that I was bloglogged again. This time it was my post from Monday, Scarified Square. I saw that they had also printed the first of the two pictures that go with the post, which I think might be a first picture for the bloglog. It's my seventh appearance in the bloglog section of WoMag.

There's also a great cover story entitled, Can You Eat Out For $20 A Day? In fact, this week's issue is chuck full of eye-catching teasers on the front page such as UFO's at Clark U, and Are Worcester's Teachers Too White?

Congrats on the bloglog mention.

Do you notice any surge of visits when you get in WoMag? I've been getting bloglogged for a very long time (like maybe a year...) and I think I get like 5 or 6 hits.

I have to make a conscious effort every day to resist looking at the sitemeter. The only time it surges up is when I've managed to not put any attention on "hit counts" for a few days, and all I've thought about is posting. The hit counter is a truly evil widget...
