WMC

"WMC" is shorthand for Worcester Medical Center, which is what I still call it (even though "St. Vincent's" is prominently displayed on the building).

There's a lot of business in and out of St. Vincent's medical center. Every time I drop someone off on the Summer Street side, I drive out around the back corner and say to myself, "I should take a picture from up here."

The back corner of the driveway to Summer Street gives you a brief glimpse of this from the car. But during many parts of the day, you can pull over to the side, get out, and take a look. The view looks down onto the railroad tracks where they go over Bridge Street, and you also get a good view across the boulevard to the back of the mall parking lot.

The railroad tracks go right through the middle of the hospital. I always thought that it was very odd to put a hospital right in the middle of the railroad tracks, but that's what they did.

Clearly, they were going for the amusement park effect when putting the hospital ON the tracks.

It's the most expensive hotel in town, complete with valet parking.
