Breakfast at Cranberries

It was a short list of things we had to go out and do this morning: 1) drop off a broken TV and burnt out shop-vac at the city dump, 2) buy a new doorbell button, and 3) do breakfast.

Cranberries is one of those little neighborhood eateries that Kathy and I are fond of going to for breakfast. They make really good pancakes, too!

I'd be eating at this place all the time if I was a pancake addict, since they've got about a dozen variations.

This morning, I was pancake hungry, so it was a no brainer where we ended up.

Some people may have a preference for the IHOP, but even if they called themselves the Intergalactic House of Pancakes, they couldn't get my attention.

Cranberries is small and cozy, the food is good, and it's right in my neighborhood... and besides, it's not a chain (like IHOP) that vacuuums local money out of the city.

Every time we've ended up here, it's been busy enough that I couldn't get a clear shot of the counter. Today, though, there was a few minutes where this shot was possible.

If we're going to have breakfast out, Kathy and I like to do it around mid-morning when it isn't so busy. Neither of us like crowds or waiting in line to eat, so posting about how much I like this place may end up causing me grief if the place gets too popular...

Looks like my kind of place. How do I get to it from the distressway?

The word "Cranberries" at the beginning of the second paragraph is a link to its location on Google Maps.
