This maple tree caught my eye this morning, at the corner of Holden and Shrewsbury Streets in Holden.

I've often wondered about the way so many trees appear to have a power line avoidance tendency, and whether it's because local maintenance has trimmed them that way over the years, or if the trees actually refuse to grow near the wires.

The way the morning light was highlighting all the different colors in this particular tree, I held out a slight hope that the cellphone camera would capture some part of it.
