Garage update

When I went over to take a picture of the construction site for the new Lego Garage behind Union Station, I wasn't prepared for what I saw...

About a month ago, I knew that the structure reminded me of something, but I just couldn't put my finger on it.

Now that the smokestacks have been installed, however, it all makes so much sense...

This isn't a garage, it's a steam powered riverboat ferry!

After the canal is re-opened, people will be able to drive onto this ferry and go all the way to Providence!

And then, if the canal fanatics can get more funding sources to see the light, we may even be able to steam our way all the way out to Erie, Pennsylvania some day!

Hey, you're right! I'm surprised no one thought to talk this one up!

(And it would have to a Mississippi steamer; a Blackstone canalboat wouldn't have much parking!)
