It's already been shown that placing an "X" or a check-mark onto the Worcester ballots, instead of filling in the oval completely, can be miscounted by the Diebold machines that the city uses.
So... what does this mean?
Well, it means that it's possible there are a significant number of voters who may have put an "X" or a check-mark, and therefore their votes for mayor didn't get counted.
THAT MEANS that if the balance of the votes changes with the recount, and more votes are discovered for Rick Rushton than for Konnie Lukes just because those originally uncounted votes were cast by people too stupid to read the simple instructions that were posted in every voting booth in the city... THEN if Rick does end up being Mayor, it will be because of voters who were too stupid to follow VERY simple instructions...
In which case, we would have to ask the question, "Why would a ballot cast with check marks or "X's" even be considered a legally valid ballot?" Moreover, if the outcome of the Mayoral election recount is dependent upon such ballots and the balance of the votes shifts, it will not present this city with a vote count that can be accepted, since it would throw ALL THE OTHER contests into doubt.
