According to my snow-depth guage, I have seven inches of powdered white oobleck in my yard this morning. I also verifed wth the ruler, though...Back at the beginning of October (I think it was), I went into the shed and fired up the snowblower. I think I did this... But it might have been last year...
...or maybe it was the year before.
One thing's for certain, though, I can't wield that thing around in the dark. So, I have to wait until it's light enough to even start blowing all that snow. It'll take an hour or two, even for the relatively small two-car area that I have to clean out.
Then there's the end of the driveway...
The snowplow roadside depth at the end of the driveway is always the deepest and most time-consuming part of the whole thing, no matter how much snow we get.And there's also the fact that the sooner I blow out the whole driveway, the more likely I'll end up having to do the snowplow roadside pile a second time.
Based on 16 years of experience at this address, the earliest I could possibly be done with it won't be until some time around noon.
