Sir Vival

Back when Dwight Eisenhower was still President and I was only ten or eleven years old, a Worcester inventor named Walter C. Jerome could every once in a while be seen driving the Sir Vival...

I seem to remember a sign for the Sir Vival car company somewhere around 100 Grove Street. But I didn't have much luck turning up any more online information about this particular business venture.

There are a couple of New York Times articles here, and here. And there are a number of other pictures, including a Jalopnik blurb, XD360 has seven photos of one (stored in a garage) on Flickr, another bit from Paperholic, and something on Classic Car dot com.

It was a concept car that never succeeded.

It sure was a wild sight to behold running along a Worcester street when I was a kid, though!
