Slip-N-Slide

This is what most of Worcester's side streets are today, slip-n-slides.

The picture was taken on Glen Street, but I could've taken shots of dozens more streets just like it, ie- not the slightest hint if any sand, salt, or snow removal... just ice.

It was crazy busy this morning, so taking pictures wasn't the foremost item on my agenda.

Avoiding streets like this was somewhat on my agenda, though. Of course, when somebody lives on a street like this and they want to get a cab, we do the best we can.

It may not be immediately apparent, but the picture shows the cab isn't quite parallel to the curb. That's because I had to carefully slide down to the house that made that call.

Marginally controlled tobogganing is what I call it...
