St. Patrick's Day

When I had a real job, I would always make sure I wore something that was green on March 17th.

On St. Patrick's Day, the Chicago River is dyed green.


According to one source, Freud didn't exactly say that the Irish were impervious to psychoanalysis. He said, "This is one race of people for whom psychoanalysis is of no use whatsoever."

The most genuinely Irish guy I ever worked with, who had emigrated here a few years before, correctly psychoanalized me one day after I happened to mention to him that I was feeling a little depressed.

He said, "Depressed?... Yer just fookin' lazy, that's all..."
