This is actually a whole new hole that's been dug beside the previous hole that didn't actually infringe on any traffic lanes, per se, and which I couldn't rightfully add to the Bump Installation Crew thread. That previous hole had been finished and patched pretty nicely by this last weekend.

Today, however, they had the whole new hole dug, and instead of shutting down just one outbound lane at the beginning of Grafton Street, they had to shut down both lanes.

Of course, both sides of that short stretch of Grafton Street between Washington Square and the beginning of Water Street are so incredibly bumpy that there's really nothing these guys could possibly do to make it any worse.
