Mark the month of April 2008 as the start of something big. Worcester's dauntless Main Mistress of Movies, Andrea Ajemian, and her associates have put together financing for the making of the film, "We Got The Beat", and this is no small potatoes... In a town that's traditionally been populated by people whose parents taught their children don't blow the wad, and hold on tight unless you've got FDIC... Ajemian and her associates have managed to raise a half a million bucks. Old school money doesn't take any risks (just look at what downtown looks like), so the garnering of this kind of support is definitely the most significant sign of things turning around that you're ever likely to see. Womag has the story.
Oh ya... by the way... Bruce Willis is coming to town, too. So that makes at least two films that'll be shot in Worcester this summer.

Jeff, you are so awesome. Thanks for mentioning this. I love that you wrote, "by the way...Bruce Willis is coming to town." That's so funny. We are fine being the small indie film that could during a summer when a huge studio film finally hits Worcester. Movie magic will be everywhere this summer in Worcester!!!!!!!!!!!! - Andrea
