B.I.C. 11

When there's a backhoe on the scene, and they're jack-hammering into the pavement, I have to assume that they'll be digging a hole in the street.

But the truly "go figure" aspect to this Bump Installation Crew on Hamilton Street this morning, at the intersection of Harrington Way, is that I was only out of the house for a few minutes to go pick up my taxi license and run a quick errand at the supermarket...

Am I some kind of a magnet for spotting these things?

Have I carved out my fate by calling attention to these things for nearly a year?

And right there in the middle of that intersection where, in order to save some time by going the back way... only to be thwarted by a Bump Installation Crew at the end of Harrington Way...

I mean, I haven't been working since Thursday, ever since the License Division informed me last week that I wouldn't have my taxi license available until today. That's three workdays off, and a five day weekend... And the first "weekday working hours" little trip I take out of the house in all that time, I run into a Bump Installation Crew?...

What are the odds?
