Bob Dylan performed to a full house last night at the Palladium. It's not the first time he's played in Worcester, though. My foggy memory places one of his first shows here at the Memorial Auditorium in the 1960's, when he played solo.According the Bob Jordan, who did go to both the first and the most recent Dylan concerts in Worcester, it's always worth going to a Dylan concert.
I was told that Bob Jordan attended last night's concert, because he wasn't at MacDuff's last night, and that's where the guys said he had gone... The fact is, I didn't even know that Dylan would be playing in Worcester last night.
There's lots of things that I tend to miss in this town because I never check local listings for upcoming events. Usually, the only way I find out about anything happening is that somebody tells me. Anyone who knows me, though, probably won't bother to tell me about anything coming up that costs more than a sawbuck... or that will be happening much beyond 9 in the evening.
That's why I already know about next Saturday's annual Bob Dylan Birthday Tribute concert at the Cafe Fantastique. The two shows are at 6pm and 8pm, and it's only ten bucks to get in. Online ticket sales are available here.
Here's a clip from last year's show:

Jess and I saw Dylan in October at the DCU Center. He and his band were great, and Elvis Costello (just him and his guitar) tore the house down as the opening act.
