Winchendon Confidential

Suspending this kid can be viewed as a mistake.

Continuing to enforce the suspension and only making noises about "confidentiality" (in the face of the mother's obvious lack of concern over "confidentiality" by talking to the media from the outset), however, is nothing more than a demonstration of petty authority gone wild. But rather than quickly admit the decision was clearly based upon complete ignorance of what constitutes a "weapon", these bozos up in Winchendon still press this angle that "confidentiality" must be maintained.

They just don't get it, apparently. They are 100% in the wrong. There is no gray area here. There is no rule they are bonded to. It is entirely up to the principal of the school to wake up and smell the coffee.

Hmmm, I seem to remember a commercial on TV that Jordan (?) gave a kid his shirt after a ball game for his Coke.He was enthralled because it was from his Idol. I am sure he took it to school also. What my take on this is, this kid was so enthused (Hopefully that he knew that the Soldier that gave it to him was defending his freedom at any cost! )and held the EMPTY casing close to his heart knowing full well that many others had died fighting for our freedom and held it with pride, as I would.SHAME on "Toy Town" school system for punishing him for being proud of what he recieved from a real HERO!!!!
