I didn't realize I could get such a deep discount on my Stop&Shop card until today.A couple days ago, the cashier pointed out to me that I had a lot of unused gas points, and showed it to me on the receipt for the groceries I had just bought. So, today I figured I'd see if it meant anything. I pulled into the South Plaza Stop&Shop gas pumps and topped off the Jeep's gas tank.
Honestly, I hardly ever take notice of special offers, coupons, and so forth. I buy stuff when it's on sale if it's something I'd be buying sooner or later, but I really don't pay much attention to these things.
I guess I should start paying more attention, though. Apparently, there are similar discount offers on gasoline from other supermarkets besides Stop&Shop, too. And gas credit cards have offers of bonus discounts, too.
Just over three bucks a gallon would've felt even better if I had to fill up a Winnebago, I suppose. But I only topped it off here.I felt lucky, though, so I went inside afterwards and bought a 5 dollar scratch ticket that ended up paying a 10 dollar prize.
So I saved $6.32 on the gas and won another five bucks.
Does this mean I'm on a roll?

You are not the only one!!! Mindy handles all that stuff for me. With the gas card she has from Price Chopper, she gets about a dollar off every gallon when we need gas. I don't look at that stuff LOL.
And it's especially worthwhile if ya live and work in the same town. I've only gassed up once a month for over a decade, now.
