I spotted this fungus amongus just a few minutes ago, when the kitty insisted that I open a particular window and I looked down and saw them.We've had a fairly large number of mushrooms pop up in our back yard this year, but this is the first I've seen of this type, and the first I've seen over here on the other side of the house.
Of course, I have no idea what they are...
...where's Dr. Egon Spengler when you need him?

Impossible to tell what that is from the pic. If you're really curious, though, you could always bring a couple of specimens by my lab. Spengler isn't available, but O'Risal is in until about 4:00 today and all day tomorrow before I head out for the conference on Saturday morning.
They really look like pancakes...get the butter and the syrup!
