I had only seen pictures of the Smart Fortwo until today.This one was sitting in the lot shared by Greendale Mall and Spacely Sprockets Company.
I obscured the license plate number ...just to see if it would be easy to do, and it was.
Why GM, Ford, or Chrysler won't pop out things like this (without an act of Congress) is still a mystery.
Truly, this cute little car really does remind me of George Jetson's commuter car. But for the fact that it doesn't fly, along with the inability to fold up into the size of a briefcase, it still has that look and feel of the future... as projected by cartoons in the 1960's.
As for me, I'd much rather have a Tesla.

these have been all over the place in the UK + Europe for a few years or more now. FINALLY they are here! They seem most ideal for the city especially when it's time for parking!
The problem is, the only take premium gas. In that respect, they're not as economical as they seem.
Jim: you're right, I checked the tech specs on their website and it says "minimum 91 octane" which, truly, puts a big dent in my original view of this thing...
