Burgers and fries and frappes and onion rings! The foundation of the all American diet.
Kathy and I had some appointments and errands to take care of today, and afterwards it was, "So! Where should we eat?" Since we were practically on top of Willy's after our last errand, it was a no-brainer.
I can spend short spans of time without eating anything from an animal, like maybe a month or two, especially if I want to lose weight. But I would no more want to give up a good burger than I would want to give up corn on the cob. It's just too tasty and delicious!
Bob and Jan definitely have a great place, and we had a chance to say hi and chat for a bit with them today. Bob called my attention to the fact that you can order a veggie burger, or substitute a veggie burger in any of the burger choices on the menu.
And now they've got Bison Burgers, too!Still, it's the beef that draws me... that fat, succulent, juicy burger is something you can't substitute. Humans have been eating meat for a lot longer than they haven't, and so have I.
It's the daily feasting that I can't do. Y'know, burgers on Monday, steak on Tuesday, pork chops on Wednesday... an actual feast every day. Nobody needs to eat like that unless they're training for the Olympics ...or maybe for a back injury case in the Boston Fire Department.
Feasting once a week is fine, though, and Willy's is definitely a feast!
Wild Willy's is at 317 West Boylston Street in Worcester.
And here's a link to a T&G review from January.

The Veggie burgers there are wonderful.... I go once in a while to get myself one, they are basically Gardenburger brand, but with all their toppings, the buns and the grill they taste fantastic..Try it..if anything you will find a healthy alternative that you may just like.
