Just One Beer

Friday night, I spent most of the evening in a booth at the Vernon, shooting video of the Danelectros.

I had just one beer.

I spent the whole day yesterday in the house, with the exception of one foray of errands that Kathy insisted I be the chauffer for...

Really.

Just one beer, and I'm hung over and useless for a whole day! Even this morning, I've been about as interested in doing anything as a corpse. I'm learning this morning that while I slept like a log last night, there was a hurricane that dropped a few inches of rain. There's a little bit of water on my cellar floor. But according to the first minute of video in this clip (after the obligatory 20 second ad), there was some serious flooding in Worcester last night...



There's also more descriptive information in the Regional Digest section of the paper today. According to that report, Standish Street flooded again. That's about a block away from where I live, but since our house is planted on the side of the hill, the water doesn't collect here, it just flows past like whitewater when it rains like this. There are a bunch of other streets listed as having been closed down by 10 pm last night...

Still, ...just one beer and I'm ready, over 24 hours later, for absolutely none of this.
