Sarah Palin Goes Nuclear

The video clip above is only a minute long, and it tells us something very important about Sarah Palin: that she was able to learn how to correctly pronounce the word "nuclear" in a matter of days.

This is something that George W. Bush has been incapable of learning throughout his Presidency.

And you really have to wonder why it's been impossible for Dubya to learn anything new, even something as simple as the correct pronunciation of a word that represents the most basic force yet harnessed by humankind. Sarah Palin only needed a teleprompter with a phonetic spelling of the word to make her look like a genius, when compared to our current President.

So, it's encouraging to see that Sarah Palin can learn new things. Maybe someday she'll be able to learn that being an unprincipled, vindictive liar will not get her into heaven?

I mean, the whole nine yards for me is this Sarah Palin brand of "I'm saved, and you're not" pseudo-Christian bullshit that has utterly usurped the whole spirit of conservatism in this country. She walked into the Mayor's office in Wasilla, a town with less than half the population of Worcester's Lincoln Village apartment complex, and immediately started sacking employees of the town that she felt weren't "on her side". I mean, this pin-headed, holier-than-thou piece of shit actually fired the town librarian for refusing to ban books!

No, I'm not an anti-religious bigot. I believe in the values of our Christian heritage that say, "Go... and sin no more." I believe in the ethical high ground of a long-standing, basically Christian tradition that prevented America from openly attacking other nations without them attacking us first... something that the pseudo-Christians in the current administration have completely squandered and blown.

I'm not anti-religious. I'm anti-bullshit. And the Sarah Palin brand of bullshit is something America has been ruined by in the past seven years. She is worse than Dick Cheney.

So, if Sarah Palin is a fast learner, perhaps she should go back to Sunday school and find out what it actually says in the New Testament about being "saved". I'm sure lots of people like her think that accepting Jesus and being saved is a get out of jail free card, and I'm sure that it has been very therapeutic for Dubya the Drunk, as well.

But, for all the fancy rhetoric that these pseudo-Christians spout, someday they're going to have wake up to the fact that the get out of jail free card can only be used once. This two thousand year old mystical force of ultimate forgiveness and salvation is a one shot deal. I do not believe that Jesus offers a revolving forgiveness account for chronic offenders like Sarah Palin.
