This weekend's rollout of the "new sitemeter" wasn't anything I looked forward to, but I'm so accustomed to companies insisting they can make a good thing better that I've gone numb. Enough people complained, didn't like it at all, hated it, and were deciding to go with some other hits counter, though, that they rolled back to the version everybody likes before the end of the day yesterday.
When bloggers who get millions of hits every month annouce that your product rollout sucks and now they're looking for something else... or that they hate, hate, hate it... it's time to rethink the "strategy".

I never even saw the "new" sitemeter, as I didn't know my password to log in and change over. By the time I asked for my password to be sent to me they were reverting to the old site.
I liked the old site just fine, so no complaints here.
