Columbus Day Parade

This statue of Christopher Columbus was restored to Washington Square a few weeks ago. It was in plenty of time for today's parade in honor of his discovering America. The parade came all the way down Shrewsbury Street and into the square.

I parked in the new garage, and walked down Shrewsbury Street to the park, where I shot video of most of the parade. Hopefully, I can get all that footage edited and uploaded to YouTube before too long.

Meanwhile, I took some frame grabs for still pictures. There were lots of familiar faces, and a large crowd lining both sides of Shrewsbury Street today. There were also lots of familiar faces in the parade, as well...
