From the Back

From this vantage point on McGrath Blvd, I think I can just barely see Bob Jordan's car in back of Union Music.

It's interesting to look at the back of Coney Island Hot Dogs, too. Without the famous sign out front, that place would be totally different...

Last August, Norm Schell showed up at a party at his daughter's house with two boxes of Buddha Dogs that he picked up at Coney Island before he got there. Just remembering it, I can bring back that sense of having made too quick of a decision when I said, "yes" to his offer to partake of the sacred dogs. There really has to be a few days involved with the decision, before one has been properly prepared to receive such a thing...

I only took a picture from the back on the boulevard because it seems like I went by there a million times today. And every time I went by, it got closer and closer to lunchtime. And I kept thinking that maybe today, ...a dog would really hit the spot.

But no.

It's too soon.
