Before discovering that melamine may be present in 90% of all infant formula sold in the United States, the FDA released a report saying that there was no safe level, ...but afterwards they're now saying there is a safe level. How convenient that the newly discovered safe level removes 89% of the tainted infant formula from being thrown out.
The interesting part is that the FDA has absolutely no scientific evidence to support either position.

I'm really mistrusting the FDA these days.
FDA approval is no more of a guarantee of safety now than a High School diploma is a guarantee of literacy. (In fact, those two seemingly unrelated things may actually be very closely connected, now that I think about it.)
