The trench I spotted them digging on Southbridge Street by Tracy Place a week ago Monday is now a 75 to 100 foot series of brand-new bumps.Since there's another bump installation being done at the intersection of Hope Ave, only a block away, I think they're just trying to make up for the re-paving of that little section of Southbridge Street around Riverside and Crompton last year. That had been one of the bumpiest sections of a main thoroughfare in the city for a few years. But now that it's gone, there's always that threat of Worcester losing it's status as having the bumpiest streets in the whole physical universe.
Thus, the intensive work to install new bumps on Southbridge Street from Quinsig Ave all the way to the Auburn line.
