Through some node out around Indian Orchard, I got a comment to part one of this meme from the anonymous "B.A." about two hours after I posted. In it, he says, "I'm 1/8 your age."
That would make him seven and half years old.
That certainly gives me pause... but not for very long. Although I grudgingly have to admit that I still have a lingering affinity for this anonymous blogger whose adequate level of literacy is what keeps me lingering.
The comment, of course, was rejected, simply because of the stupid handle. So, he made a cut and paste post of what he apparently considers his most important points over at Tales of the Shitty about two minutes later. For online engagement, I have to give him points. He's like dog shit sticking to my shoe...
He takes issue with my use of the word misogyny, and as it turns out, he's apparently gone through and magically excised the more offensive misogynistic shit he had posted about those women. Good for him! A little artfully applied and completely undocumented editing of your blog is certainly a step in the right direction.
His literacy (or maybe just his spell-checker) may have failed him in his rejected comment with this line, though, "I'm not sure how writing a humorous blog online to share with my peers is equivalent to cowardess..."
Okay... well, maybe he's a she and thinks that calling a female a coward demands that I use the word "cowardess." But then, when he/she posted his/her reaction on his/her own blog, the spell checker must've been on, since it's spelled "cowardice" there... Maybe "B.A." is a seven and half year old that hasn't quite figured out their gender identity yet?
I mean, it's impossible to respond reasonably to an anonymous online attacker. And yet this is what this joker thinks is going to be his ticket to vindication, that there's some honorable quality to the kind of ad hominem he's been anonymously posting, right from the start.
Anyway, this "Blog Review" will definitely be a continuing meme here for as long as that ridiculous online persona persists in being used to mask their negative attacks on the local scene like this. You have something to say about me or anyone else in this city? Then put it under a real name and grow the fuck up. Your giggling little adolescent game of anonymously pissing everyone off online has no slightest merit.
Heh... on the other hand, everybody loves a flame war. Especially one that might never end.
