The History of History

Albert B Southwick's column yesterday will tell you everything you ever needed to know in order to understand why the T&G, in its current iteration, appears to suffer from multiple personality disorder. It puts the stuff that they print each day into much clearer perspective.

Dianne Williamson's column yesterday will explain, for instance, why it shouldn't have passed the editor's desk. And Clive McFarlane's column today mentions the 44,000 veterans in the city as of four years ago, and that current wars have "greatly swelled that number"... implying that about a third of the entire population of the city was in dire need of emergency services during the two week period that an answering machine was out of order... and that it's all the City Dictator's fault that so many people were left hanging.

Oh well... I'm just one of their many readers. This two year long (so far) "letter to the editor" has only one point to make today, ie- Al Southwick appears to be sane.
