If you drive regularly past Grafton/Mendon, Grafton/Ernest, Main/Curtis, or Vernon/Dorchester, you've seen these guys. It's not a statue, it's a person inside a Statue of Liberty costume.
The one in the picture was outside the place at Grafton/Mendon this morning.
Outside the one at Grafton and Ernest, there's also a pink gorilla statue(not a costume with someone inside), in addition to the dancing guy with the Statue of Liberty costume on...
I've never been moved to pay somebody else to prepare my taxes, because individual tax returns aren't difficult. Sure, there have been some years that I've had questions, but those can always be answered on the IRS help line.
I've always prepared my own taxes.
But, y'know, if you wanted to have a professional do your taxes, wouldn't you hesitate to use a business that hires someone to stand outside the place in one of those ridiculous costumes?...

I buy Turbo Tax every year. $40 and it's easy as pie.
You wouldn't hesitate if you were my son -- he gets REALLY depressed after April 15 and asks when the Statue of Liberty will be back.
But I always do my (very simple return) by hand every year.
The one time I tried it, I found that the return I did by hand saved me a heck of a lot more than the money I wasted buying Turbo Tax.
"but those can always be answered on the IRS help line"
According to the IRS itself, they can only be answered 70% of the time this year. ;)
30 percent of those who call its toll-free hot line won't get through to anyone who can help
One of the Liberty Tax franchisees spammed me a couple years back, so I'll never do business with them. Then again, I've never used a tax preparer...
