Nicole has some interesting reportage about the Worcester on Tap event at the Vernon Hotel yesterday afternoon, as well as the hearing on the old Courthouse. She mentions meeting Nick Kotsopoulos, but Nick doesn't mention her.
As far as the fundraiser for Belmont Community School at the Coral Seafood restaurant on Shrewsbury Street, there's only a one line comment from Tracy at this link... but it sure is great news!

Well, it wasn't a real meeting, because I am extremely shy in real life.
I somewhat agreed with Jo Hart until she started talking about Yale. I think the courhouse is probably better suited to offices/businesses than to residential, but I don't think the answer is a school that (a) that isn't even in MA and (b) is a non-profit. That's one of the problems with this city: people who have a good point start going off on bizarre tangents. Just make a logical point and stick to it!
I meant to tweet, at least, from the Belmont fundraiser, but I left my phone home.
It was PACKED, and I've heard this morning that several thousand more dollars were raised from the silent auction. People were very, very generous.
Nicole: without people going off on bizarre tangents, blogging in Worcester would be much more difficult...
Tracy: does this mean that all the stuff on the list will now be acquired?
Jeff, as far as I know, no. There's money that has to be spent to do things like fix windows and such, things that can't be donated. I can get a better answer, if you like.
I think Worcester's bloggers should adopt Nicole's appellation of the Fifth Estate.
Actually -- though I didn't know it last night -- there's an anarchist publication out of Detroit called The Fifth Estate.
But I still think it's kind of cute.
And Worcester is itself one bizarre tangent.
