Scott Brown Flip-Flops Again

After going to his beer summit in Southie, it looks to me like Scott Brown burped and demanded that he be sworn in immediately. This is a very surprising and sudden flip-flop on his two solid weeks of calmly stating his February 11th expectations for being sworn in.

Brown's flip-flopping ways are nothing new, though, since he voted in favor of the Massachusetts healthcare reform bill, but flip-flopped on the whole issue when it came time to maybe get a promotion to US Senator.

This guy hasn't even been seated yet, but he's already beginning to look like a one-trick pony... although I'm sure he'll get along just fine with fellow flip-flopper John Kerry.

There's more to it. The Senate has a vote tomorrow on a nominee to the National Labor Relations Board. The Rebublicans and the US Chamber of Commerce are against the nomination. Since a nomination only needs a fifty-one vote majority to pass the only way the Republicans can stop it is to prevent the vote from coming to the floor. The Democrats need sixty votes to bring that about. Scott Brown is Mr 41 to block it. This is the reason Mr Brown is going to Washington tomorrow. To ensure the nomination never hits the floor.

the DEMS voted against this radical appointment. Brown did need to be the deciding vote.
