A Two Hour Cruise

A little over two hours, actually...

This was the final fare for a customer that did a lot of errands today.

The ride began and ended at their house, with ten stops in between. At one of the stops, they spent over a half an hour inside a store. And we never left Worcester.

In fact, we never crossed over to the west side of Park Ave, either.

You might think this sort of thing is unusual... And I'll be the first to say that it was never your everyday fare... But it was never an ultra rarity until maybe the past couple of years.

I've driven plenty of passengers who've had me run them around to a handful of different places, often spending quite a long time inside a store, and so on. Fares of thirty to eighty bucks were hardly unheard of, and on a fairly regular basis, too.

But I haven't had one of these in a very, very long time.
