There are many points in my life where I've had to eat crow, and this is no exception. The quality of the writing has suddenly leapt into a whole new plane of existence. They have gone from the utterly mundane to the exceptional in just a few days!
So, I have to say, the paywall is apparently working!
Take, for instance, this incredible piece from Dianne Williamson the other day. The quality and craftsmanship of this piece is well beyond anything she's ever written before, and I have to say that I'm just blown away! I had no idea that Dianne could pen such powerful prose!
And then there's this expose authored by Sutner, Caywood, and Whearley! They've blown the lid off one of the longest running lines of corruption in City Hall that anyone could've possibly imagined! And we have the paywall to thank for this fantasically increased due diligence in digging out the truth and keeping the public informed.
I really have to hand it to them! Paying extra means getting something extra, and the simple meaning of that exchange is certainly not lost on me!

NICE!
Bwahaahahahahahahahaahah!
You fooled me. I was waiting and waiting for you to comment on the paywall, and when I finally saw what you had written- I fell for it. I thought you were serious.
I wondered if the kind words from Diane had swayed you or something.
I myself have noticed how there are zero comments on every story in the T&G all of a sudden, and how clearly this is a failure. A BIG failure.
You got me. I was punked. That cracked me up, and I am glad to see you still have your sense of humor.
This was your best post EVER.

Yes , now people can pay for the same ol' as they once got for free.
Thanks for the laughs. It has always been a pleasure, an interesting experience and an honor to read your page(s). THANK YOU
Sincerely.
Ok, I did take you seriously and even paid to read the two articles you mentioned!!! I'll blame my ignorance on the fact that I am still a somewhat new follower of your blog even though in the back of my mind I knew something didn't sound quite right. Ah well, it was fun anyway. Glad to see you here again. I realize it's not easy for you but even a short or proxy-written post is better than nothing. Take care
You go, Jeff !!!!
