In Bed All The Time

I fell down the other day, and now I'm absolutely unwilling to try to move around without two or three Worcester Firemen on standby to lift my deadweight off the floor...

I didn't get hurt at all, but having my legs just go out from under me like that, and so quickly and easily, too, was a very scary thing to experience.  Both Kathy and my Mom tried to get me up, but to no avail, so we had to 9-1-1...

Anyway, the long story short version brings us up to today, where I've just spent my first 24 hours in a hospital bed that's been brought into our living room.

Now, basically, I'm in bed all the time.

Scary to hear Jeff, but I'm glad you didn't get hurt.
Thoughts are with you buddy.

Jeff -
You continuously dodge, adapt, feint and the disease seems to parry.

I hope every day you know comfort and some moment of happiness.

Thoughts and prayers are going out to you my friend. You didn't like that damn chair that goes up the stairs anyway and now you can admit it freely. And I'm pretty sure the WFD doesn't mind stopping by the house to see you.

That sucks, sir. Keep up the fight.

Jeff -

I don't know you and only recently stumbled across your blog. You have a wonderful way of writing and I have enjoyed reading it. After watching both of my parents deal with hospice, I know that you are in the right hands. God bless you now and on your future journeys.
